Artist's Comments

A friend of mine did a photo just like this when we saw the World Press exhibit in Toronto. This time it was in Ottawa. I'm not sure if his lined up this well or not. Either way, it wasn't my idea and Kelly was the one who told me to take it. I was just the trigger man... and I guess I exposed/focused it as well.

M6, 35mm cron, tri-x, brutal neg scan.

I like the way the photo is not taken head on, but from an angle. It makes it non-conform. Love It!

Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still.

Love the shot, the use of 35mm on an M6. Classic photo here.
